turning over a new leaf and finding our way through February 2025

This course will give you something comforting to think about and do while making your way through February, often a challenging month whether in the cold North or the sunny South. We will use up odd scraps of cloth, make little dye bundles, do as much or as little stitching as our hearts desire and sail our armchairs around this virtual village well in peaceful community.

February can throw challenges at us... in the North it is the month in which Spring is busy getting ready to leap onto the stage it is also a time of bitter winds, muddy boots and short days while in the South we shelter from a scorching sun, scan the horizon and sniff the wind for smoke and hope to goodness that we get through the summer without losing too many trees to increasingly dry conditions.

This course will give you something comforting to think about and to do while using up odd scraps of cloth, making small dye bundles and doing as much or as little stitching as your heart desires. As always, the finished product remains a surprise, all I will tell you at present is that it will be a lovely thing to wear.

For now, you will need to gather 29 leaves (one for each day of the month and one for luck) and store them flat in a book, ready to use when the course begins. If you wish to gather more, that's fine too. I'll tell you about the other supplies when you enrol, most of them should be fairly easy to find in your stash...
